Located in Bago, Daiko and Waw Township of Bago Division, 112 km from Yangon along the Yangon-Bago-Pyinpongyi Highway. Its area is 104 sq.kms large and established in 1988. You can see more than 20 species of aquatic and herb (Emergency macrophytes) including Kaing grass and water are present in the sactuary and Notsaba (Oxyza officinalis) grow particular in shallow area of the sactuary.

Especially Kaing grassland are the most suitable breeding ground for water birds.
